General Dive Plan: (2) Shore dives starting at 9:00am, with a surface interval of at least (1) hour. Max depth will be ~ 60 fsw.
Access, Entry and Hazards: Easy surf entry, depths up to 60 few, some swim throughs. This location is easy beginner diving to more experienced if you go outside the cove.
Equipment: Please bring all of your dive gear, which should include: (2) tanks and weights. It is a recommended that you have a surface signal device, for example a “safety sausage”, mirror or whistle. Dive shop for the area is Sub Surface Progression in Fort Bragg. If you want to do two dives, bring two tanks as it is a 20 minute windy drive to the dive shop.
Directions: The park is located three miles south of the town of Mendocino on Highway 1. The highway runs through the park separating the campground and the Fern Canyon trail head to the east and the beach and parking lot to the west.
