General Dive Plan:  (2) Shore dives starting at 9:00am, with a surface interval of at least (1) hour.

Access, Entry and Hazards:  There are plenty of places to dive, depending on the swell.  There is also a calm surf entry here and then diving along a wall or in Kelp Beds.  The cove is beginning diving to 60 fsw and the outer coves can be more advanced with a rock entry but still no more than intermediate diving.

Accommodations: Camping at Van Damme Park (reservation required) or in Mendocino or Fort Bragg.

Equipment: Please bring all of your dive gear, which should include: (2) tanks and weights.  It is a recommended that you have a surface signal device, for example a “safety sausage”, mirror or whistle. Dive shop for the area is Sub Surface Progression in Fort Bragg.  If you want to do two dives, bring two tanks as it is a 10 minute drive to the dive shop.

DirectionsThe beach is two miles north of Russian Gulch on the coast access road (Point Cabrillo Drive). From the north, it is one mile south of the turnoff at milepost 54.71 on Highway One.
