Celebrate Sharks at the California Academy Nightlife

This week's California Academy of Sciences' nightlife celebrates two of favorite things: sharks and beer. 

Learn all you ever wanted to about sharks :

• Specimens from the Academy’s collections
  
• Movies.
  
• Experts ready to answer your questions, including David McGuire, Academy shark researcher and Jonathan Kathrein, white shark survivor, surfer and shark advocate, both from Sea Stewards.
  
• Shark inspired art and dance pieces. 
  
• A shark trivia contest
  
• Animatronics, along with other great programming. 
  
• In our take on Octoberfest, this week’s NightLife will also feature a variety of local beer brewers. Learn about how beer is brewed and participate in limited tastings. A variety of local microbrewery beers will be available for sale.
