Getting There
Don’t book flights without first consulting the trip leader. Most likely you will book a round trip to Jakarta, Surabaya, Bali, or maybe even Manado or Makassar in Indonesia. From those you’ll book on a domestic carrier to get to Sorong (SOQ.) Most likely you will overnight at your port of entry before traveling on to Sorong. Traveling from Jakarta to Sorong is a bit like getting from LA to somewhere in the midwest. So after a long 24 hour trip to Indonesia, you'll want to rest before your domestic flight.
Direct domestic flights are much preferred over connecting, so your choice of international arrival port may be dictated by the most optimal last leg of travel. The dive operator has much experience with domestic travel and can assist in booking those flights.
Disembarkation will be early morning. Multiple direct domestic flights are available to start your journey back, making it possible to make your connection to an international flight.
Optional extensions to either Lembeh, Ambon, or Bali are being considered.
Price
- $3200 per person shared deluxe cabin
- Based on Euro exchange rate of 1.30
- Further Euro strengthening could result in a price change
- Excess cash flow will be rebated back to divers after the trip
Rainbow Divers is a 501(c)7 non-profit mutual benefit organization, and can only organize activities and trips for its members. Membership is cheap and comes with a bunch of new lifelong friends at no extra charge. So if you’d like to participate in this trip, please join us.

If you'd like a different payment plan just ask. We can be pretty flexible.
Pricing can be adjusted up or down based on currency exchange fluctuations or unanticipated fuel surcharges. NCRD does not retain a profit from trips so any increases or decreases in trip cost need to be passed through to participants.
Payments are generally non-refundable. If you sign up and your plans change there may or may not be someone interested in taking your spot. If you cancel without having made all payments it is your responsibility to find someone to pay your obligation in full. It is a very good idea to carry trip insurance to cover such an eventuality.
Trip payments may be made by PayPal or by personal check. PayPal will accept credit card payments, regardless of whether you have a PayPal account. The price is the same regardless of payment method. All divers on this trip should be comfortable diving in currents and have good buoyancy skills. Divers are required to carry valid, in-force dive accident insurance, such as Divers' Alert Network (DAN).
