Some preliminary details
Get ready for an exploration of the full range of the vast archipelago of Raja Ampat, which translates as "the Four Kings." The region consists of over 1,500 small islands, cays, and shoals surrounding the four main islands of Waigeo, Batanta, Salawati, and Misool. Raja Ampat is renowned as the world's epicenter of marine biodiversity and features some of the richest coral reefs on the planet. We'll see everything from small critters to Manta Rays and sharks, including the funky Wobbegong shark, and maybe even whale sharks.
We've chartered Raja Ampat Aggressor and have the boat entirely to ourselves. If we don't sell out by mid 2027 we'll release unsold cabins and more friends we haven't yet met will join. So spread the word. This will be a fantastic trip to a bucket list destination.
Pricing is about a 20% discount off published prices. Many factors can affect final pricing, including fuel surcharges, and whether we end up with a half charter instead of a full. As always, excess funds at trip time will be spent toward your port and park fees, nitrox or other onboard charges. A deal this good is only possible through a non-profit like ours.
No need to send money to get on this wait-list, but be ready to pay a $1000 deposit once we confirm you onto the trip. The wait-list is first come first served, with Rainbow Divers members getting first access.
Sign up if you know you definitely want to attend. After a month or so we'll open it to the full Rainbow Divers email list.
Getting there and back is a long trek. You start a couple days early to arrive in Sorong to start the trip. There are direct and connecting flights from Bali and Jakarta to Sorong. There are dozens of one stop options to Jakarta or Bali from all over North America, Europe and Australia.
Pre and Post trip nights in the Dampier strait area may be an option since it is a long trip from home to Sorong, and staying a couple nights in Bali is a nice way to settle into the time zone change.
